VFS offices reopen for SA Immigration applications

VFS offices reopen

Breytenbachs is delighted to inform our South African immigration clients that the South African based VFS offices reopen for business on 22 September 2020. The Visa Facilitation Centres and South African embassies abroad also have to reopen on 22 September 2020.

However, in the best interest of our clients, and to avoid any unnecessary rejections, we advise that submissions only be done once the Minister of Home Affairs has given clarity via published regulations.

We are specifically awaiting the official regulations on the specific visa categories that can be lodged, detail on expired documentation during the SA lockdown period, as well as whether or not it is possible to apply for a change of conditions.

We trust that our clients will appreciate the fact that we wish to avoid any rejections where appeals must be lodged, and further costs incurred.

We will provide a further update once the Minister of Home Affairs has provided more clarity.

In the meantime, you are more than welcome to reach out to our SA Immigration Team at [email protected]
